Certified Instructor
Dr. Thomas Pressley is a Certified Glider Flight instructor who gives glider instruction at Caprock Soaring Club on weekends.
Tom Pressley received his initial glider training in the late 1980s as a member of the Soaring Club of Houston, and since then, he has accumulated about 800 hours of time as pilot in command in gliders. He has served as contest manager for three regional championships and a national, as well as performing scorekeeping duties at numerous regionals and nationals.
Tom is currently one of two SSA Governors for the State of Texas and the Record Keeper for Texas State Soaring Records. When he is not flying, he is a Professor of Physiology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.
Dr Pressley currently serves as treasurer and chief glider instructor at Caprock Soaring Club in Littlefield Tx.
